RM Sotheby’s Group to Host Upscale Car Auction at Petersen Automotive Museum

If you have always wanted to boast an exotic collector car in your garage this may be your chance. On Saturday Dec.8 the Petersen Automotive Museum will host an auction of about 60 special vehicles. They range from Aston Martins to Porches to a customized Mercury coupe. Some are one-of-kind collectibles.  

For the past five years, the RM Sotheby’s Group has hosted its Southern California event in Santa Monica under the RM Auctions and former Auctions America banner. Moving to the Petersen Automotive Museum in LA proper for 2018, the caliber of the event will be akin to RM Sotheby’s groundbreaking New York collector car auctions, held biennially at Sotheby’s global headquarters in Manhattan. The Petersen Automotive Museum Auction will feature approximately 5- to 60 blue-chip automobiles, hand-selected by RM Sotheby’s global team of 30 Car Specialists.
