The Huntington Beach Concours d’Elegance is now in its 34th year and once again LCOC will be an important presence at the event. Registration is now open. The 2-day event begins on Saturday June 1 with the Rod and Custom Show and continues on Sunday June 2 with the Concours Car and Motorcycle Show, where LCOC has been a cherished participant for many years. Registration for the show will be $40, with a $10 admission for spectators with children under 16 free with an adult. For 2019 our friends from the Thunderbirds of Southern California will hold a reciprocal “People’s Choice” award for their favorite Lincoln or Continental/Zephyr, while our members will select their favorite Thunderbird.
Traditionally, this event has been a time for LCOC members to gather and socialize with other members with anywhere from 15 to 20 LCOC cars on display. Our collector cars are collocated in a beautiful shaded area near a scenic pond that is perfect for photos. The day usually kicks off with coffee and donuts for our exhibitors and may end with one of the many 1st, 2nd or 3rd place awards granted by the show committee. This year on June 2nd there will be a Salute to Pony Cars (1964 – 1972), all “Z” Cars, Datsun and Nissan, and BMW. Also Saluting Honda 750 Four Motorcycles and BMW /2 (’55 to ’69) Motorcycles.
