Many car shows and events have been cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic, but organizers of the La Jolla Concours have rescheduled their stellar weekend to September. They are currently taking registrations for show participants and for event tickets.
The 16th annual concours promises to be a welcome activity for the fall calendar. Proceeds benefit the La Jolla Historical Society.
On Saturday Sept 19 there will be a Sip, Shop, and Stroll in La Jolla from noon to 5 p.m. Gear up for a great afternoon of free music, entertainment, fantastic shopping, tasty treats and, of course – incredible cars. Throughout La Jolla’s famed shopping district you’ll get up close and personal with Lexus, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, McLaren and Icon Aviation’s portable aircraft.
The tickets are free but you must register in advance at ttps://www.lajollaconcours.com/tickets/ to receive your VIP “Brake in the Village Guide” as well as a chance to win fantastic prizes courtesy of the La Jolla Village Merchants Association and its members.

As in the past, this year’s event will take place at the beautiful La Jolla Cove, Ellen Browning Scripps Park, 1133 Coast Blvd., La Jolla. If your vehicle is accepted for display “on the grass” the venue offers a spectacular view of the ocean in addition to one of the best collection of gorgeous vintage vehicles on the West Coast. Saturday evening between 5 and 9 p.m. the Aston Martin San Diego Le Cabaret du Concours presented by Fraser and Raphael’s EventWorks will be held at Scripps Park.
Outrageously glamourous and glittering in frivolity and fun, Le Cabaret du Concours excites a Parisian spectacular along the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Bedecked with plush sofas, velvet curtains and dazzling chandeliers, you have stumbled upon a masterful mélange of decadence without restraint.
