Hosted by the LCOC Western Region, the 2022 LCOC Western National Meet opens May 4 in Palm Springs after more than 2 years of planning and preparation.
Special for 2022 will be celebration of the 100th anniversary of Lincoln’s joining the Ford Motor Company. Throughout this year Lincoln has been sponsoring heritage events and retrospectives while previewing future plans for exciting new models and technology.
The Western National Meet includes four gala days of car tours, dinners, technical seminars and good fellowship and will culminate with an all-Lincoln car show where some of the best vintage Lincolns, Continentals and Marks in the U.S. will compete for awards.
Nearly 100 cars have been registered for display on the beautiful Desert Princess Country Club golf course at the highlight concours Saturday May 7. The show is open to the public free of charge and we expect huge interest among Lincoln admirers.
If you are showing your car do not forget your fire extinguisher! LCOC rules require it and you will not be allowed on the show field without one.
Meet participants will visit local landmarks including the Palm Springs Museum of Art, Sunnylands Visitors Center and Shields Date Garden, Old Town Yucca Valley, Pioneertown, and various private car collections in the area. They will experience Thursday’s Palm Springs Street Fair, a driving tour highlighting celebrity homes and a silent auction of highly coveted items. Some will attend technical seminars where they will learn more about their cars and how to keep them running their best. Awards will be presented at a final banquet Saturday night following the concours.
On Sunday award winners and their vehicles will be photographed for recognition in LCOC’s Lincoln and Continental Comments magazine.
Good luck and good fun to all who have registered. The Western Region welcomes you!
