Car Event Planners Tiptoe into 2021 as Virus Abates

Event-starved LCOC members are rejoicing as new car activities continue to fill the calendar. On Saturday February 20 two fun events of interest to LCOC members will be held in southern California. Our friends from the Early Birds of Southern California, a Thunderbird club, are planning to gather at both venues and have invited us to come along. See Event Calendar and read below for details.

The Automobile Driving Museum, 610 Lairport St., El Segundo, CA. will hold a cruise-in Feb 20 beginning at 8 a.m. The theme is Muscle Car Show of the Year but all car enthusiasts are welcome. The Early Birds of Southern California, will gather as a group to enjoy the activity. LCOC’s own Paul Ginsburg, who is a member of EBSC as well as LCOC, is the point of contact for this event. Email him at paulginsburg@paulginsburg.com to advise him of your attendance and reserve a parking place with the group.

The muscle car show runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Planned as an all American Muscle Car Show extravaganza, this car show is open to all American Muscle Cars and classics.

Face mask required for all attendees.  There will be live classic rock musical performances by U.S. 99 Band.

The Southern California Auto Owners of America hosts the GardenWalk Auto Show weekly classic car meet-up every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Anaheim GardenWalk 400 W. Disney Way, Anaheim. This is a large beautiful venue with shops and cafes.  On Feb 20 the Early Birds are coordinating a meet-up at this event. Point of contact is Ken Dufour at kendufour44@gmail.com. Contact him if you want to reserve a parking spot with other EBSC members. Though it begins a 8 a.m. numerous vehicles arrive in the 10:30 to 11 a.m. time frame after attending an early morning breakfast.

This is a new show with big ambitions. Here all special interest vehicles are welcome including classics, antiques, exotics, streets, built for speed, lifted and lowered and more.  They invite you to join from across counties to celebrate, promote, remember, and renew the passion for both power and beauty.

GardenWalk offers the area’s most popular location for photo, video, commercial, and auto display atmospheres, Cash awards, “hood-to-hood coffee, donuts and eats”, and more. It’s a new show platform to build bridges between the 375 pop-up shows that occur weekly.

Network, show off more, hear from service providers, industry pros, win cash during planned events and more. Coming Competitions: Weekly Classic, Classic Customs, Chopped Champions, Heroic Hot Rods (designated to veteran owners), Screamers (engine & exhaust decibel sound challenge), Truck Terrors (lifted trucks), Jaw dropping Exotics, The VW (classic VWs and the touring stories they tell).
