Car Show and Annual Meeting at Desert Princess Previewed 2021 LCOC Western National Meet

The 11th annual Casual Concours car show sponsored by the Great Autos of Yesteryear car club held at the Desert Princess Resort, Cathedral City, CA on Oct 19 previewed our 2021 LCOC Western National Meet to be held May 5-9 at the same site. And what a show it was! Thunderbirds and Avantis were the featured marques, but all makes of classic vehicles were eligible and many LCOC members participated among the nearly 150  owners showing cars on the golf course grass.

The show weekend began Friday evening with a reception sponsored by Porsche, Palm Springs, where many of the show vehicles were on view. A hosted bar with delicious hors d’oeuvres were offered in the glittering Porsche 2-story showroom. On Saturday everything from a tiny Isetta to a 1950s-era milk truck to luxury American sedans and convertibles took center stage. Some 65 awards were presented at a gala banquet Saturday evening after a sumptuous buffet featuring a huge steamship roast beef, among many yummy offerings.
