Two beautiful green Marks and one gorgeous green Continental were “money” on the show field on Sunday as LCOC celebrated the annual rite of spring on Coronado known as Motor Cars on Main Street. Unlike last year when Mother Nature dampened proceedings with drizzle throughout the event, 2026’s weather was more like the perfect spring day San Diego residents expect.

The sparkling sunshine allowed the cars to gleam all day, and why not? The special effort by owners was rewarded by the judges. Our own Jesse Casique and Terry Turner, left and center in the photo at right, took a first place award with their Mark III for best original vehicle, which drew many an admiring glance. This achievement comes more than a year after they acquired the vehicle and and worked diligently to get it running and looking like new. Congrats on a job well done!
LCOC board members Jim Ayres and Halsey Posadas were there to join in the fun with Marjo Miller. Besides an amazing car show, all were invited to lunch at nearby seafood landmark Brigantine, just steps away from the show field, where Halsey’s forever family-owned Mark IV excelled.
Pals Jim and Halsey admired the vehicle in the photo below.

Not to be outdone was Tom Teevin, of nearby Chula Vista, CA, (see below) whose, beautiful 1974 Continental 2-door coupe which originally belonged to his dad, was another crowd pleaser. Our thanks to all involved for showing LCOC’s colors and to Jim and Marjo for the photos.
