Come Join in the Fun!

Another busy and fulfilled year has begun! We’ve already held numerous events and the year has just begun. We’ll be resting up in March with no planned activities, but will start up again in April with a much anticipated trip to Zaca Mesa Winery in Los Olivos and cruise through the beautiful countryside. Be sure to check the event calendar for details and registration.

The Fabulous Fords Forever show is also in April and is always a good show. This year 60 years of Mustang, 85 years of Mercury, and 65 years of the Galaxie are being celebrated. We had a great time in Las Vegas last year so we’re  planning to return in May.

The Huntington Beach Concours is always held the first weekend in June. I’m on the committee and am the Lincoln class manager. I’m hoping to have a great turnout this year. Things have been streamlined and the show should be better than ever.

In August we’ll head north for our annual wine country picnic in Sonoma. We’ll round out the year with participation in the Pageant of the Thunderbird in September, hosted by the Early Birds of Southern California, and the Big Four Picnic in October. If you have an idea for something you’d like to do with the club, let me know and we’ll consider it either in addition to our already planned events this year or next year.

I’m pleased to announce that we will again suspend mandatory regional dues in favor of voluntary donations. You, our members, have been very generous, and we all appreciate it! The funds allow us to hold events and to put on national meets among other things.

Speaking of national meets, it looks like the Western Region may be planning to hold the 2026 LCOC Western National Meet in Las Vegas. As with all national meets, volunteers are needed to help with just about every aspect. Let us know if you’d like to be part of the team.

Lastly, I’d like to mention the Lincoln Motor Car Heritage Foundation and Museum. The Foundation is making steady progress toward its $2 million museum endowment fund goal. Your generous donation will help us achieve that goal. The fund will ensure the continued operation of our museum for many years to come. Also, look into the “Leave a Legacy” program as well as the “Become a Lincoln Star” program.  There’s more information on our website, https://lincolncarmuseum.org/
