Custom Vehicles and Low Riders Highlight Reunion Car Show

A small but enthusiastic group of attendees brought their stock and custom collector cars to the Savanna High School’s (Anaheim, CA) 55th Reunion Car Show at the Brea Mall on Saturday September 29. The show was presented by the first graduating class of Savanna High School on the top level of a parking structure at the north end of the Mall between Penney’s and Macy’s and closest to the Embassy Suites Hotel.  The hotel served as the headquarters for the reunion attendees and the weekend included not only the car show but also a banquet at the hotel and some Angels baseball on the last day of the regular season at nearby Angel Stadium.

Guests and visitors began assembling at 8 a.m. for car placement, coffee and doughnuts. A “guest participant” trophy was awarded to the favorite guest’s car by “people’s choice” balloting. A vintage Willys coupe was the winner and a second award for the favorite reunion class member’s car was presented at the evening banquet. LCOC member Marv Wendt and Jan McNiel planned and executed the car show event. Our thanks to them for bringing us this fun show.
