LCOC Cars Caravan to Colorado National Monument

Crystal clear skies and spectacular scenery thrilled LCOC members on an unforgettable driving tour to the Colorado National Monument July 11 as part of LCOC’s 2019 Western National Meet.

Rocky Mountain Region host Jake Dout’s 1956 Mark II led the way as 13 Lincolns and Continentals snaked behind though curvy mountain roads enroute to one of Western Colorado’s finest natural wonders. Every turn resulted in another ‘Wow!” as the rocky formations unfolded.  Few words are required here as we let the pictures do the talking. John Walcek climbed his own mountain to get the great featured group shot.  Our thanks also to Jere DeBacker for the great photo of the deer right at roadside.  If you blinked you missed it!

A barbecue lunch at Rib City restaurant put a fitting exclamation point on this adventure.  A photo op at the nearby Vietnam War Memorial was a final attraction.
