Our Ford cousins from the Early Birds of Southern California have invited LCOC owners and their cars to a festive day of celebration of our collector car hobby at the Annual Pageant of the Thunderbird to be held Saturday Sept. 14 at beautiful Twila Reid Park, 3100 Orange iAve., Anaheim. Load-in will be from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. with judging starting at 10:30. Socializing from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. with awards starting at 2:00 and event conclusion at 3 p.m.
This event is an ideal opportunity to see some beautiful cars, make new friends and catch up on the news of people you know. In 2019 Lincoln was the featured guest marque at this event and the show was a huge success with great prizes awarded and a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
We are excited to announce that The Early Birds have extended the welcome mat to us once again for 2024. Registration before Sept 7 will be $40 and $45 thereafter. There will be vendors, fun, food and prizes—-something for everyone. As you know, both Thunderbirds and Lincolns were built on the same Michigan assembly line, where more than 6 million cars were produced over a 50-year period beginning in 1957.
The show is planned as a smaller Lincoln meet within the larger event, featuring 3 Lincoln classes—-Pre-war to 1960, 1961-2000 and 2001-2024, with valuable prizes awarded to class winners!
To register you must cut out the registration form and mail it along with your payment to Jim Ayres. Click the link below to access the event flyer and registration form. Right click it after opening to save or print it.
We urge our LCOC members to get this on their calendars and register today. T’Bird club leaders did a tremendous job organizing turnout for the Lincoln and Lattes event earlier this year with their display of beautiful collector Thunderbirds. See below. The Pageant is our turn to reciprocate their efforts with a big Lincoln response. You won’t want to miss this final summer event.
