Our friends from the San Diego Cadillac & LaSalle Club invited LCOC members and area Imperial owners to join with them on Friday July 1 at a local Escondido institution—Cruisin’ Grand—as part of a display of Large Cars Under the Stars. Several LCOC members including Terry and Nancy Cottrell and board member Halsey Posadas were there for the fun.
Our thanks to Terry for his notes and photos of the event. He and Nancy arrived a little after 4 p.m. and stayed until about 7:30 or eight p.m., enjoying the cars, music, food and fellowship. There were a number of Cadillacs and 4 Lincoln Continentals with an additional 1991 Mark. Slab siders ruled the day for the Lincoln contingent. Look closely at the image below for a view of Nancy in the background.
Cruisin’ Grand kicked off on Friday, May 6, from 4 – 9 p.m. and runs every Friday night until September 30. All local favorites return, including live music, DJs, kettle corn, and of course, the best display of pre-1974 hotrods and classics in the country!Â
Street closure info: Grand Avenue will be open for cruising each Friday. Street closures will take place on the side streets (Maple St., Broadway, Kalmia, and North Juniper) from Second Ave. to Valley Parkway.
We thank event organizer Mark McHose from the Cadillac and LaSalle club for inviting our participation.
