One of the best overall car shows in SoCal returns for this year on Sunday Aug. 25 at its legacy home, Lacy Park,1485 Virginia Road, San Marino, CA 91108. Hundreds of elegant and rare collector and classic cars will be on view at this major automotive event, the San Marino Motor Classic, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

LCOC members and their vehicles have won numerous prizes at San Marino.  Come support your friends this year and cheer them on.  You never know who else may be there.  In past years none other than famous car collector Jay Leno was on hand for the fun.

The San Marino Motor Classic features a broad array of motorcars that span more than a century. Concours level collector cars from around the United States will converge on San Marino. Last year more than 480 vehicles participated. Spectators may purchase tickets at the event’s Website .

Ocean Breezes and Casual Elegance at Dana Point

If SoCal casual is your car show choice as opposed to Pebble Beach elegance, then the Dana Point Classic Car Show should be on your list of must-see events. Anything and everything from pre-1989 muscle cars to hot rods, trucks, racers, convertibles, wagons and sedans will be part of the fun.

Some 300 vehicles will line Del Prado Avenue in Dana Point’s Lantern District for several hours on Sunday Aug. 25 to celebrate our legendary surf and car culture to the tune of massive crowds and cool ocean breezes.

There is plenty of nearby municipal parking for spectators and there is no charge to view the cars in the show. You will be able to vote for the People’s Choice winner!  Local business and restaurants will be operating all along the route so the event promises to offer family fun at its best.

Tickets for adult beverages for those over 21 will be available at designated booths. The event website has more details concerning spectator parking and other info.
