LCOC to Join with Imperial Club Members in Aug 3 Visit to Petersen Automotive Museum, Los Angeles

Second chances in life are rare, but in case you missed LCOC’s July 7 All-American Cruise-in visit to the Petersen Automotive Museum, you have another opportunity to attend a joint event there on Saturday Aug. 3 with the Southern California Imperial Owners, Inc. from 10 a.m. to about 12:30 p.m. with an optional lunch to follow.

If you haven’t been there— 6060 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036— in a while it is well worth your time to enjoy this wonderful automotive experience. You’ll see classics and some one-of-a-kind vehicles, plus famed movie cars including a 1963 Lincoln used in two Matrix movies plus the Back to the Future DeLorean and Herbie the VW Love Bug, among others.

If you are a Petersen member, you can enter the museum at no charge and get a voucher for free garage parking.  Otherwise, a tiered fee system applies to admission and parking onsite will be $17.00.  See below for info about the visit and pricing information.

A few photos from our July 7 event are below along with information about the upcoming Aug, 3. visit.  Don’t miss this second chance!!!!

For an additional fee you can explore ‘The Vault’, presented by Hagerty®, which features over 250 vehicles worldwide. Per the Peterson’s website, “Discover some of the most iconic and rare cars, motorcycles, and trucks spanning over 120 years of automotive history.”

Items to bring: Your club name badge, comfortable shoes and (optional) water.

For those attendees interested in eating lunch locally, the Peterson does have their Meyers Manx Café on the entrance floor. However, SCIOI will provide other local eatery options within walking distance from the Peterson (so you can remain parked in their lot). For those interested we will be gathering at the museum entrance at approximately 12:30pm.

No reservation is necessary. You can order tickets online (https://www.petersen.org/tickets) or pay at the door the day of the event. We will see you there!
