Nominations are Open During August for LCOC Western Region Board of Managers; Four Positions Open

by | Jul 31, 2026 | Featured, News

Nominations are in progress to fill three LCOC Western Region Board of Managers’ terms that expire at the end of 2026, and one legacy open seat on the board. Our region covers all of California and Nevada.

Terms of board members Jeremy Sanford, Bazil LaRoche and Rich Hall expire at the end of this year, plus a seat that has been open for over a year. A recent Director’s Message outlines the need for additional volunteers to serve on the board in detail. Suffice it to say, that without the ability to fill these seats, we cannot continue to offer the services and activities our members expect and deserve.

Why run?  Because your board determines the direction and activities as well as the operating budget for the LCOC Western Region. Other reasons to run? To meet and socialize with other board and general members, learn more about your classic car and have fun!

Your best qualification is your enthusiasm. Why not give volunteering a try?

Elections present a significant chance for fresh leaders with new ideas to step up and plan exciting future events and activities. We welcome you to come forward and serve. All our great events, activities, shows, visits, field trips and cruises start in the minds of our members and are made possible by the actions of our Board of Managers. If you have been sitting on the sidelines and wish we offered a service or activity you haven’t seen, now is the time to step up and be heard.

Nominations are now open through the end of August for the current board vacancy and the three positions whose terms expire this year. Incumbents may seek re-election, and any member in good standing may nominate themselves.

If you would like to serve, please send a head-and-shoulders photograph along with a brief statement of approximately 150 words describing yourself and your interest in board service to our Acting Secretary: Elayne Bendel at epbendel@sbcglobal.net.
