Happy New Year to all LCOC Western Region members, family and friends! We are glad to have you aboard for 2021. If you have not already done so please renew your membership in the Western Region. The very difficult 2020 is now in the rear view mirror but its legacy continues for the early part of 2021, where COVID-19 is still impacting public events and activities. As a result, in a December meeting the Western Region Board of Managers voted to push back our planned Western National Meet to May 4-8, 2022.
This was to enable the meet to offer the full slate of events, fellowship and adventures that our members expect and have enjoyed in past years.
You won’t want to miss the gorgeous spring weather and the casual elegance of greater Palm Springs, long famed as the “Playground to the Stars” like Frank Sinatra and Liberace!” We cordially invite members and friends from around the world to soak up our plentiful California sunshine while you tour some outstanding private car collections, sample fusion cuisines from famous chefs in gorgeous settings, experience desert vistas, tours and optional events and see some of our best collector Lincolns.
We can’t wait to honor 100 years of Lincoln luxury. At our May 7, 2022 Concours of the Classics they will grace the palm lined links of the Desert Princess Country Club. The following day you can treat that special lady in your life to a splendid Mother’s Day celebration in beautiful Palm Springs. Our martini lifestyle awaits you!
The silver lining of postponement is that the beautiful Double Tree Hotel by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs remains the headquarters for the 2022 Western National Meet. The favorable rates and terms negotiated by the meet planning team carry forward to next year.
The hotel is open and now accepting reservations for the meet period. Call the hotel sales manager Lorrie Miller at 760-322-6844 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific time. Say you are with LCOC and request the club’s special rate. Two rate options are being offered—$149 per night and $169 per night. The higher rate is for rooms with more outstanding mountain views.
