As incredible as it may sound for this stellar LCOC social and winery visit, there are still some spaces available for the April 5 Mystic Hills Vineyard wine tasting and lunch.
But you must act quickly to secure your spot as registration closes on Sunday March 30, What a deal! Organizer Scott Balanda has been dubbing the day as V-8s in the Vines! There is ample parking if you choose to arrive in your classic Lincoln; however, all makes, models and years of vehicles are welcome.
Those of you who know Scott are aware of what a great host he is and how much he values both good food, friendship and fine wines. His LCOC Las Vegas weekend in early 2023 was a huge success and last year’s early spring wine tasting at Zaca Mesa was lots of fun, though we had to dodge raindrops on arrival. This year’s long range forecast is free of rain—-thank you, Scott. 🙂

Contact Scott by March 30 at scott.balanda@gmail.com to reserve your space and lunch selection. We are limited to the first 30 visitors to sign up so you won’t want to delay your reservation.
Mystic Hills is an award-winning vineyard where LCOC members, family and friends from throughout our Western Region are cordially invited to participate while cruising through California’s beautiful central coast rolling hills and wine country.
Starting at 11:30 a.m. Scott has planned wine tasting and lunch at the beautiful Mystic Hills Vineyard, 79550 Watkins Lane, San Miguel, CA. Mystic Hills is located in the scenic Paso Robles wine producing region of central California. This small family-owned winery is renowned for its red wine varietals and blends and offers white and blush wines. Their wine quality, hospitality and friendliness have been cited in numerous 5 star tasting reviews and LCOC will expect no less.
After the winery’s host’s wonderful introduction to the property, tasting will take place outside on the patio overlooking the vineyard. Mystic HIlls has been named Monterey County Winery of the Year and San Luis Obispo County Winery of the Year.
Our Mystic HIlls outing near Paso Robles is planned as a day trip, but should you wish to arrive the night before or spend the weekend nearby, your best bet for reasonable accommodations is in nearby Atascadero.
One attraction not to be missed if you are in the area is the Estrella Warbirds Museum, just a few minutes away from Mystic Hills by car. The museum features vintage aircraft on the tarmac and inside, several display buildings of rare and unusual artifacts as well as a wonderful private car collection.

This tasting also will include a pre-arranged gourmet box lunch featuring a delicious vegan, deli or gluten free sandwich, side dish choice of broccoli, coleslaw, fruit cup, macaroni, pasta salad, potato salad, quinoa or side green, plus potato chip bag, and a gourmet dessert cookie, water and soft drinks. In a nostalgic throwback to the free tastings of earlier days of California’s nascent wine industry, the entire event including lunch will be just $30 per person paid directly to Scott.
