Summer Director’s Message

It’s been a disappointing year so far with events and shows being cancelled or postponed due to Covid-19, but we hope to remedy the situation in the coming months by offering up some activities that we can safely attend.

Undoubtedly the virus will be with us for some time, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t get together from time to time as long as we follow the CDC guidelines. We need to strike a balance between staying home and doing things the way we used to do. The Petersen Automotive Museum is holding a Virtual Car Week starting Aug. 1 with numerous online activities including the San Marino Motor Classic Aug. 13 and the Petersen Concours Aug.16.

With that said, we’re planning on holding LCOC’s annual Mike Cunningham Wine Country Picnic on Sept.19, and at this time the Huntington Beach Concours is still scheduled to happen on Sept. 13, but I honestly don’t know how this can happen. It may still get cancelled.

The “Big 4 Luxury Car Meet” is scheduled for Oct. 4th at Laguna Niguel Regional Park, the SoCal Ford Festival at Irwindale Speedway (successor to Fabulous Fords Forever) will be  Sunday October 11th, and our annual board meeting will be held during the Great Autos Casual Concours Oct. 17. All of these events will be updated soon in the Events section of this website.
