The first-in-the-nation Lincoln Experience Center (LEC) has opened at the upscale Fashion Island Mall in Newport Beach, California. It is designed to promote the Lincoln brand while remaining remote from any dealerships. It allows visitors to see new Lincoln models on the floor in a relaxed atmosphere. Then, assisted by a friendly staff member, a visitor may use the extraordinary onsite and online interactive tools to custom configure his/her own Lincoln. LEC staff can even point prospective buyers to dealers near them if they want to complete the purchase.
Anyone may visit the facility even if a new car buy is not yet on their radar. Latest technology is in view throughout the facility. Off the entrance are several comfortable seating modules called “Connectivity Lounges” where contemporary couches and soft mood lighting enable buyers to configure their own Lincolns in a relaxed atmosphere using a 32-inch touch screen connected to the Internet. Many options and option packages are available.
Special Lincoln-inspired beverages, such as tea blends and a variety of coffee and espresso options are offered, and guests may sip their favorites while selecting the features of their next new Lincoln.
A primary objective of each LEC is to be a liaison between Lincoln Motor Company and the LEC’s home communities. LEC hosts periodic onsite special events that feature local artists, merchants or other guests and programs of interest to area residents. Groups such as LCOC can coordinate with staffers to stage their own special activities onsite.
