Some of San Diego’s finest restaurants in combination with five hosted bars offered samples at locations throughout the Aston Martin Saturday Art Deco evening party presented by Fraser at the Ellen Browning Scripps Park Cove. In a a spectacular tented party zone overlooking the Pacific Ocean plentiful samplings ranged from tasty salads, marinated kebabs, yummy beef and ahi morsels, and much, much more. Scrumptious desserts included puddings and lots of gourmet cookies for those with a big sweet tooth.
Festive lighting, colorful stilt walkers, party lights, and live musical entertainment added to the party feel. Cozy lounge seating, hi-boy tables, and best of all, gas patio heaters, created the perfect atmosphere for guests to mingle. A flyby of vintage aircraft added to the ongoing show of pelican formations crisscrossing the area.
Silent and live auctions raised funds for charity as guests bid on fine wines, artworks and other valuables. Concours proceeds benefitted the La Jolla Historical Society.
LCOC members Jim Powers, Jim Ayres, John Ellison and Elayne Bendel and guest Janice Furman were at the party. With so much going on party time flew by until it was time to go home. Some of us stayed at the Town & Country Resort Hotel, which also was our headquarters for the 2015 LCOC Western National Meet.
