The LCOC Western Region Board of Managers has voted to end sales of its LCOC license plate frames after more than a decade due to a significant price increase for new frames. The region purchased a supply of high quality metal frames years ago as a club fundraiser and offered them for sale at $6.00 per frame.
The original supply has sold out. An exhaustive search over the past several months for a new supplier revealed that comparable new frames would now cost around $25 each plus shipping. At these prices Western Region Board members felt adding an additional club surcharge to the frames would make them impractical as a fundraiser and require a significant outlay from the regional treasury.
Those with frames on order have been offered either an outright refund or a credit toward their Western Region dues for 2021. When we are certain all frame customers have been served with credit or refunds, we will remove the frames from our e-commerce store.
