LCOC member favorite Big 4 Car Show and Picnic returns for 2023 on Sunday Oct 1. It is the same great event, but due to road construction at our regular park, it will be at a brand new location, William R. Mason Regional Park, Irvine. The new spot is a bit closer to LA metro and the areas where most of our participants live. So that should even increase both interest and attendance! With the low per-car admission price, we encourage you to carpool with friends and family.

A special surprise not seen at prior Big 4 Picnics awaits one lucky car owner this year!

This event is always a crowd pleaser and normally sells out early as owners of  4 American luxury car brands—Lincoln, Cadillac, Imperial and Packard—gather to socialize and celebrate our collector car hobby.  Since the parking is limited, registration is in advance only.  When the registration limit is reached, registration will close.  Register NOW at  epbendel@sbcglobal.net.

When you register, please specify your club, year, make and model of your car for the event and what food item you’re planning to bring (enough to feed 8 people) within the category assigned to your club:

SCOI – Salads and Appetizers

CLC SoCal – Main Dishes

Packard Clubs – Desserts

LCOC – Silverware, cups, napkins, plates, tablecloths, drinks

Beautiful Mason Park was once part of an original Mexican land grant. The hills take their name from Rancho San Joaquin, owned by Jose Andres Sepulveda. Formed in 1842 by the merger of two smaller ranches, this ranch included the northern part of the hills and likely had Laguna Canyon as its southeastern boundary. Rancho San Joaquin later became part of the Irvine Ranch.

The park often hosts model sailing events on weekends sponsored by the Orange County Model Sailing Club that may be part of our park experience on Oct 1. The  park and its sailors were featured on a Huell Howser program a few  years ago.

Organization of the Big 4 Picnic rotates among the participating sponsors and this year it will be managed by the Lincoln & Continental Owners Club Club, supported by the three other American luxury brand clubs, So Cal Cadillac & LaSalle Club, Earle C. Anthony Packard Club, and the Southern California Imperial Owners, Inc.

The fee is $5 PER PERSON payable to LCOC Western Region, additionally you’ll need to pay $5 per car to the park when you enter. You may also send your per-person payment to Elayne Bendel by Zelle at epbendel@sbcglobal.net.

Bring your folding chairs and tables and portable shade, if convenient, so you can visit and eat lunch with everyone.
